Leah Beery Journal #3 February 10th - 14th Agriculture Education Cody High School Mr. Troy Wiant Hours: 3 hours February 11th Discuss diseases in livestock with students Observed class How does your teacher demonstrate intercultural competence as he/she implements classroom management strategies?       My mentor teacher demonstrates intercultural competence by getting to know all his students.          My first visit with Mr. Wiant in the agriculture classroom in the high school was good! I got to talk to Mr. Wiant about times that would work for me to be in the classroom and all about the practicum handbook/program. Mr. Wiant and the students were very welcoming to me. I got to know some of his FFA officers pretty well and talked about their futures as most of them are seniors. It was a chill and welcoming first visit. All the Cody High School staff was very welcoming as well!!        I went and helped teach a lesson for the first time to the to the middle schoolers  about animal identification . It was so fun to meet and interact with all of students! They are a great group of students that are interactive and show interest in learning about agriculture. We did three different hands on activities with the students after teaching them about identifiction on livestock. The first one was letting them make their own brand a...
