Leah Beery Journal #10 April 7th - April 11th Agriculture Education  Cody Middle School Hours: Middle School - 2 hours, Lesson Planning - 1 Hour April 9th:  Lesson Planning with Morgan April 11th:  Teach Flower and Pollination Lesson Elaboration:     My second lesson for practicum I taught was with Morgan in the Cody Middle school about flowers and pollination. This lesson included the anatomy of a flower and how most fruits are produced from the ovary of a flower. We had the students build their own flower with all the correct anatomy parts out of different materials. As an assessment we made sure they had all the correct parts and be able to describe their function. After that we taught them about how pollination works and the different parts. Our last activity was for them to demonstrate how pollination works with their flower and glitter as pollen.   Leah Beery Journal #9 March 29th - April 4th Agriculture Education  Cody Middle School Hours: Middle School - 2 hours, Lesson Planning - 1 Hour April 2nd Lesson Plan Dairy Lesson and Retrieve Supplies April 4th Teach Dairy Lesson Elaboration:     The first lesson I taught for my practicum in the Cody middle school was a dairy lesson by myself. The content included the three most popular dairy breeds, different milking parlors, how milking works, dairy products, and how to make butter. The lesson was great for the students since most of them don't have much experience with dairy cattle. In the future we get the opportunity to go on a tour of a dairy as well.  Reflection:     In reflection, I had to maintain a good classroom management while teaching a lesson that I was not as familiar with as some by myself.
